You’ll ensure equipment operates at optimal efficiency, address customer concerns through clear communication, and maintain high service standards. Technicians will manage their assigned territories, perform timely repairs, and proactively address potential equipment issues.\nKey Responsibilities\nService Technicians are responsible for installs/repairs, upkeep, and troubleshooting of restaurant kitchen equipment sold and serviced by TFG.\nCompletes system installations by fabricating, mounting, and connecting various components such as: compressors, motors, control panels, gauges, and other related components to ensure power connections are secure and equipment is operationally sound.\nResponsible for assigned customers and territories, as well as administrative duties pertaining to customer calls, expense reports, time sheets, and tracking of necessary preventative maintenance and requests made by customers.\nIdentifies malfunctions by testing, repairing, or replacing equipment/parts.\nPresents and maintains a professional image.\nProperly documents repairs and actions by completing equipment records.\nBuilds and fosters strong relationships with customers each visit.\nContinues to learn on the job through participation in educational opportunities and training.\nMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.\nSkills, Abilities, Qualifications\nMotivated to learn, retain, and apply equipment knowledge in the field and warehouse through hands-on and video training.\nHigh levels of time-management and effective communication.\nAbility to work independently without direct supervision.\nSelf-Motivated to perform tasks at a high level.\nOrganizational skills, and ability to properly document repairs and requests.\nCapability to diagnose, repair, and solve equipment issues.\nIs accountable, accurate, and shares a positive attitude.\nPower tool experience and basic safety knowledge.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires the ability to perform essential physical job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including:\nLift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 60 pounds\nPush or maneuver equipment weighing up to 900 pounds using wheels or dollies\nMove equipment weighing up to 500 pounds from a dolly to a countertop or work surface\nClimb ladders while carrying tools and equipment\nKneel, crouch, bend, or work from the floor for extended periods of time\nDrive for extended periods of time as required for customer service calls and travel between job sites\nSafely operate hand and power tools\nWork in a variety of environments, including kitchens, warehouses, and outdoor conditions, with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and mechanical equipment\nEducation & Experience\nRequired:\nDrivers License\nMust be over 21 years of age to operate company vehicles\nPreferred:\nHigh School or Equivalent\nEPA Certification: Training/Certification Provided on Job\nElectrical and Refrigeration Technician Experience\nHVAC Technician Experience\nGeneral Interest in the Foodservice Industry\nWork Environment\nField Service Technicians will work in Houma, LA and surrounding areas to complete repairs at customer locations.\nTechnicians may be required to provide on-call service, after-hours support, or work outside of traditional office hours.\nTechnicians must be comfortable traveling for assignments, as required, and must provide a valid driver's license upon hiring.\nAbout TFG:\nTotal Foodservice Group (TFG) is a dedicated team of experts from various industry backgrounds, focused on providing top-notch customer service for companies in the foodservice industry.
