This role is responsible for coordinating the month-end and year-end close processes, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with US GAAP and company policies.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across North America.\nEnsure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.\nReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.\nManage general ledger accounting activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies.\nOversee fixed assets, intercompany transactions, inventory accounting, payroll accounting, and revenue recognition processes, as applicable.\nEnsure proper accounting treatment of complex or non-routine transactions.\nReview required financial reporting for the business\nUnderstand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix\nEnsure compliance with company policies, strategies, guidelines and authority levels\nEnsure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and tax reporting requirements across North America.\nProvide accounting guidance to business leaders\nAssist with financial system implementations and transformation projects.\nPossess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization\nComplies with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality and IT standards and policies. Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required & maintains required HS&E & SQ certifications up-to-date\nConduct business with professionalism and in line with WIS Core Values\nWork in accordance with WIS and client HSE policies, and maintain Legal Compliance\nLeads and supports continuous improvement projects.\nWorks with Manager to prepare for future career opportunities.\nHandles special projects as assigned.\nAll other duties as assigned by Supervisor\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance\n8 Years’ accounting experience required\nAdvanced understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar).\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.\nExperience with consolidation, reporting, and compliance systems.\nFamiliarity with SOX, audit processes, and regulatory requirements.\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience managing accounting activities across multiple North American jurisdictions.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency.\nSalary & Benefits\nWIS deeply values fair and equitable wages that enable our employees and their families to thrive.
