At TW Constructors, we build more than facilities, we build community support and success.\n\nThe Role:\n\nA Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for working within the estimation and bidding process while calculating the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks. They will use the appropriate computer construction programs necessary to accomplish these tasks. Their duties include communicating with personnel, contractual professionals, and vendors. Estimators will use computer software to weigh production risks, compile reports, and make presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our national team with a passion to work alongside engineers, architects, construction teams, and owners to make our projects more successful.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nEffectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and co-workers\nActively contribute to the project schedule and close-out process\nEstimators work closely with many other professionals including consultants, contractors, accountants, and operations personnel to provide the most accurate and comprehensive financial and budget analysis for their employers\nDetermining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product\nCreating labor estimates for any project· Managing bids from vendors and contractors\nPresenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders\nCompiling and recording actual costs\nUsing bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis\nDeveloping and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors\nPreparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service\nAnalyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project\n\nOur projects are nationwide - Travel may be required\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study\n\n3-5 years of experience in commercial project estimating and/or management\nDesign-Build experience is ideal\n\nAbility to interpret blueprints\nSignificant knowledge of construction methods as well as an understanding of municipalities and the permit processes\nAbility to manage subcontractors and vendors\nEstimating and project management experience in the commercial industrial construction industry\nKnowledge and understanding of building construction combined with steel design concepts presented on architectural and engineering drawings\nAbility to understand construction drawings and specifications\nAbility to prepare proposals with minimum supervision\nCandidates must have a strong understanding of conceptual estimating, estimating techniques and cost control\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.
