You’ll work closely with the founding team, contribute across the stack (especially frontend), and help define our technical direction and culture from the ground up.This is a rare chance to join something early and make a real impact — we hope Pump becomes a career-defining chapter for everyone who joins.What You’ll DoBuild intuitive, performant, and scalable interfaces that bring our vision to lifeContribute across the stack, with a strong emphasis on frontend architecture and best practicesWork closely with engineers, designers, and founders to ship quickly and iterate based on feedbackHelp define and execute our technical roadmap — balancing technical debt and innovationInvent, improve, and maintain development processes, tools, and workflowsPrototype often and move fast — while maintaining high product quality and UX standardsQualificationsBS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applicationsPreferably has experience at a Series B+ to pre-IPO companyStrong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework — React and Next.js preferredStrong proficiency in Python, and familiarity with at least one Python backend framework (e.g. Django, FastAPI, Flask)Experience with AWS — knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cost/billing concepts is a plusExperience with SQL or NoSQL databasesExperience with Docker; container orchestration systems like Kubernetes are a plusStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsEnjoys prototyping and experimenting quickly to validate ideas and iterate fastRequired SkillsDeep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend developmentStrong architectural understanding of scalable frontend systemsExperience integrating with backend APIs and working with real-time or dynamic dataStrong product sense and attention to detail — you care how things look and feelAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment and take initiativeAbility to work onsite 5 days a weekBonus Points ForExperience at early-stage startups or fast-growth environments (Series A–C, pre-IPO)Passion for developer tools, infrastructure, or cloud platformsFamiliarity with Kubernetes or modern DevOps workflowsAn opinionated eye for clean, simple design and thoughtful UIBenefitsComprehensive healthcare and dental coverage for you401(k) planGenerous PTO: 13 accrued days, plus company shutdown December 24—January 1stFree lunch & dinner at the officeAnnual company-paid retreatsDevelopmental bonuses: support for professional development opportunities tied to cloud and related fieldsCompensation: $120K–$200K salary + 0.1%–0.6% equity
