Director of Sales - Optics & InterconnectsOverviewThe Director of Sales will lead revenue growth for an optics and interconnects portfolio, serving customers across satellite communications, RF/microwave systems, and data center markets. This role requires a technically driven sales leader with deep RF expertise and a strong foundation in photonics and high‑speed interconnect technologies, capable of navigating complex, long‑cycle sales engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute sales strategy for optics and interconnect solutions across satcom, RF/microwave, and data center customersDrive new design wins and strategic account growth in technically demanding, system‑level environmentsEngage directly with engineering, systems, and executive stakeholders to align solutions with customer architectures and roadmapsLead complex, high‑value sales cycles, from initial engagement through qualification and productionCollaborate with product management, applications engineering, and R&D to translate market needs into actionable insightsTrack market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in RF, photonics, and interconnectsTarget MarketsSatellite Communications (space and ground systems)RF & Microwave (aerospace, defense, advanced communications)Data Centers & High‑Speed Optical InterconnectsQualificationsThis candidate MUST have a degree in Electrical EngineeringStrong RF background (mandatory) with experience selling into RF, microwave, or mixed‑signal systemsProven experience in optics and/or interconnect sales, including silicon photonics or optical modulesSatcom industry experience strongly preferredAdvanced technical education, ideally a double Electrical Engineering degree with specialization in silicon photonics or photonic integrated circuitsDemonstrated success in technical B2B sales within semiconductor or advanced technology environmentsAbility to operate at both deep technical and executive levels
