Network Surveyor**RELOCATION TO IRELAND - REQUIRED**Location: Cork, County Cork, IrelandSector: Telecommunications & InfrastructureContract: Initial 12-month contract, with potential extensionAbout the OpportunityPeoItaly is recruiting on behalf of an important client company operating in the telecommunications and infrastructure sector.Our client is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented and proactive Network Surveyor to support fibre network projects across Ireland.The selected candidate will be based in Cork and will be required to travel throughout Ireland, carrying out survey, planning and design activities for FTTP fibre networks.This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in fibre network planning and surveying who is available to relocate to Ireland and is looking to join a structured, dynamic and growing infrastructure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out surveys, planning and design activities for FTTP networks, from the Point of Presence to the premises, including spine surveys.Support external fibre network design, including chamber and duct construction design, cabling and splicing design.Survey HLD trunk routes to identify the most effective and efficient route solutions.Validate PIA on site and identify potential issues and required workarounds, including civils, new ducts, chambers and related requirements.Create complete survey packs and provide clear updates to desk-based planners.Identify individual houses, multi-dwelling buildings and existing telecom connections.Carry out detailed surveys of the built environment and capture the most feasible and cost-effective solutions for new builds in accordance with project specifications.Identify any potential SED or specific Traffic Management requirements.Determine, at planning stage, any specific wayleave requirements.RequirementsKnowledge of FTTP architecture.Experience in fibre network planning and surveying.Previous experience working in a Fibre Network Planning environment is desirable.Proficiency with tools such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF Writer, Visio, GIS and similar platforms.Knowledge of ORION would be considered an advantage.Experience using GIS platforms.Ability to use a smartphone, tablet or laptop with a Geographical Information System.Valid accreditation in Signing, Lighting and Guarding.Up-to-date certification in Manual Handling and First Aid at Work.Full, clean Irish manual driving licence.Availability to relocate to Ireland.Willingness to travel across Ireland as required.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on site.Good communication skills and ability to provide clear updates to planning teams.What We OfferThe opportunity to join a growing international environment within the telecommunications and infrastructure sector.The chance to work on important fibre network projects across Ireland.A hands-on role involving survey, planning and technical design activities.Exposure to large-scale FTTP network projects.A collaborative, dynamic and quality-focused working environment.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package, depending on experience.
