{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"14be5f478fff4d4e7675f8f1","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/14be5f478fff4d4e7675f8f1","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/14be5f478fff4d4e7675f8f1","title":"Operations Manager with EHS Focus","description":"Job description\nJob Overview:\nThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of EVOLOH’s Santa Clara facility while ensuring the whole company complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations in both offices.\nThis manager will lead all projects related to physical infrastructure in Santa Clara.\nThis role requires a proactive individual who can manage the physical infrastructure, ensure a safe working environment, and lead initiatives ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability.\nThe ideal candidate must have a blend of technical expertise, regulation knowledge, strong organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure Management (Santa Clara):\nOversee day-to-day building operations, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance.\nManage and coordinate repairs, renovations, and building improvements.\nEnsure building systems are operating efficiently and perform routine inspections.\nExecute repairs, enhancements, and upgrades as appropriate and within code compliance requirements.\nManage relationships, projects, and budgets with permitting authorities, vendors, contractors, and external service providers.\nEnsure timely and efficient management of space allocation & office moves.\nAsset management: handle incoming and outgoing shipments. Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs.\nDevelop and manage the building’s operational budget and track expenses .\nMaintain building security, access controls, and fire safety equipment.\nEHS Management (All locations):\nDevelop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).\nConduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards.\nLead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.\nProvide EHS training and awareness programs to all staff. Ensure compliance with waste management, water usage, and other environmental regulations.\nManage emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuations, and spill response.\nMaintain and update documentation and permits related to safety, environmental compliance, and certifications.\nReport and investigate all Workers’ Compensation claims. Use the findings to update policies, as needed.\nProvide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.\nProject Management:\nLead all projects related to the physical infrastructure of the Santa Clara Headquarters.\nEnsure all projects are completed on time and within budget.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.\nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the COO or CEO, as needed.\nQualifications:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Chemical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (required).\nMaster’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, and Environmental Safety, or a related field (preferred).\nCertifications: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or equivalent (preferred).\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA certification (preferred).\nWork Experience\nMin 5 years of EHS Management experience.\nMin 5 years of Building Management experience.\nSkills & Abilities:\nSee General Employee Competencies Fluency in English language\nGeneral hands-on abilities to identify and fix common building issues.\nCPR training certification (preferred).\nAble to build and maintain relationships with trustworthy vendors in the area.\nStrong project management and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication and leadership abilities.\nAbility to respond quickly to emergencies and make decisions under pressure.\nProficiency with building management systems (BMS), CMMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.\n***Salary is based on experience\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k)401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nSchedule:\n8 hour shift\nMonday to Friday & On Call\n\nLocation: In person.
