Major/Essential Functions
Work closely with the Sr. Dir. Marketing and Creative Services and the Hunt School of Dental Medicine, responsible for developing and implementing Social Media and Marketing strategy for the Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and branding efforts.
With limited guidance from the Sr. Director, self-directs to create and execute all marketing initiatives for the Oral Health Clinic – focusing on patient acquisition, student success and donor stewardship.
Develops, implements and manages social media strategy.
Manages, oversees and plans social media content, develops social media campaigns and tracks social media trends.
Develops solution-driven ideas to ensure campaign success and measures success of every campaign by analyzing key performance indicators.
Stays up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Works with designers and copywriters to ensure digital and print content is informative, appealing, and grammatically correct.
Collaborates with respective department and campus constituents.
Monitors SEO and user engagement and suggests content optimization.
Communicates with industry professionals, partners and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in creative writing, public relations, advertising, marketing or related field
Two years related experience OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience to equal six years
Preferred Qualifications
2-3 years of experience as a social media or marketing specialist or similar role.
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, social media scheduling, and other social media best practices.
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
Good understanding of social media KPIs.
Understanding of and working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Proven experience created branded content – portfolio is a plus.
Excellent multitasking skills.
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Team player. Good time-management skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
