Working for our team, you can truly make a difference.\nThe kitting associate will gather, kit and stage all components required for upcoming production orders to be set-up on press, assisting Operators during changeovers of product lines. .\nWhy work at MCC:\nCompensation: $22.66/hr + $1.50 Shift Differential\nGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k)\nPaid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain communication at all times with production team.\nAble to learn inventory processes and press terminology.\nAble to learn company specialized computer software and perform tasks within the system\nAble to accurately prepare a kit for each upcoming production job.\nAble to follow the press schedule and stage the next job for press per workorder and SOP instructions.\nAssist with changeover activities, including wash-up and set-up\nAppropriately disassemble kits and return cleaned and/or unused items to designated storage locations.\nAct as a resource for pressroom production to reduce downtime and improve productivity.\nMonitor inventory levels of auxiliary supplies at press and replace as needed.\nMonitor scrap/waste containers and replace as needed.\nMatch, mix, and prepare color to customer supplied samples or Pantone color guides.\nCommunicate concerns, issues and status of specific production orders with co-workers and supervisors. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.\nFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives.\nParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nStrong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and SOPs in English. Must be able to present information to team.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.\nBasic computer skills.\nWilling to work OT and weekends as scheduled.\nMust be extremely trustworthy, flexible, and dependable with a good attendance history.\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to accurately complete high volumes of work\nExceptional problem solving skills.\nAbility to maintain a clean, safe work environment with a focus on 6S and Lean practices.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner.\nStrong initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulness.\nThe physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
