From intelligent completions and packers to flow control devices, we help customers achieve optimal production, reservoir management, and well integrity.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Global Technical Services Advisor serves as the global technical authority for Halliburton's DataSphere® Fiber portfolio within Completion Tools, providing advanced application expertise and technical leadership to engineering, field operations, business development, training, and customers worldwide.\n\nThis role bridges technology development and field execution by supporting the complete lifecycle of permanent fiber optic sensing solutions—from product development and qualification through field deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and commercial teams, the successful candidate ensures customers maximize the value of DataSphere® Fiber technologies while supporting product reliability, continuous improvement, and global knowledge sharing.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nServe as the global technical subject matter expert for the DataSphere® Fiber portfolio, providing advanced application expertise to field operations, engineering, business development, training, and customers worldwide.\nProvide technical leadership and lifecycle support for permanent fiber optic sensing technologies, including product development, qualification, field deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and product enhancements.\nSupport the integration of downhole fiber optic monitoring systems with surface interrogation hardware, optical measurement systems, communication networks, and data acquisition platforms.\nTroubleshoot complex customer applications and provide technical recommendations to optimize system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop, review, and maintain technical documentation, operational manuals, engineering standards, knowledge base articles, and digital product support content.\nAuthor and approve Technology Bulletins, product updates, required field actions, interim procedures, and other critical technical communications supporting global operations.\nSupport new product introductions by developing technical documentation, training materials, field support resources, and best practices for global deployment.\nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues and drive continuous product improvement.\nMentor engineers and technical professionals while promoting technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and consistent application of best practices across the global organization.\nIncorporate reliability engineering, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and quality standards into all technical guidance, product documentation, and field support activities.\nQualifications\n\nRequired\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 13 years of experience supporting field operations, technology development, product development, or technical services within the energy industry.\nExtensive knowledge of Completion Tools products, field operations, and customer applications.\nExperience supporting fiber optic sensing technologies, including downhole systems, surface interrogation hardware, or optical measurement systems.\nExperience developing technical documentation, engineering procedures, and customer-facing technical communications.\nStrong technical communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to support global customers and multidisciplinary teams.\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience with fiber, distributed fiber optic sensing, and intelligent completion technologies.\nKnowledge of reliability engineering, root cause analysis (RCA), and product lifecycle management.\nExperience supporting global product deployments, technical training, or customer education programs.\nExperience mentoring engineers or technical professionals.\nWorld Class Benefits\n\nAt Halliburton, we’re committed to supporting you and your family with a comprehensive and affordable benefits package that covers your physical, emotional, financial, and parental needs — now and in the future.
