This includes working with a multi-functional team (process, mechanical, electrical, controls, metrology, facilities, IT, operations, etc.). Involves the application of mechanical principles encompassed in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and machine design used for the design, production, operation, and use machinery of all types.Key Responsibilities:Design process equipment, lead procurement of equipment and oversee and participate in assembly and installation of equipmentExperience with mechanical equipment engineering, design, install, start-up, and debug in early-stage development environmentAbility to manage and own all phases of equipment design (problem statement, conceptualization, detail design, detail drawing package)Experience working with machine shops and managing procurement phase of custom equipmentProficiency with SolidWorks and EPDM VaultGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to collaborate and work with diverse teams (skills, disciplines, gender, culture, race, etc.)Comfortable working with minimal direction and adapting to evolving requirementsIndependently determines and develops approaches to solutionsFamiliarity with other engineering disciplines (electrical, controls, process, etc.)Experience: 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing with a focus on the following: 1, Knowledge of web-conveyance fundamentals and proficiency in roll-to-roll web-conveyance system design 2. Knowledge of thermal equipment fundamentals and proficiency in custom thermal equipment design 3.
