The Project Accountant will assist in monthly closing, inventory reconciliations, audit requests and variance reporting. The Project Accountant will work with the Business Unit Financial Controller, General Manager and Project Managers to ensure the projects are executed successfully.\nResponsibilities: Preparation of monthly estimates at completion (EAC) including preparing the EAC workbook, analyzing, reconciling and review with assigned project manager to facilitate presentation to management team.\nComplete monthly revenue recognition calculation, prepare journal entries and ensure adherence to IFRS 15 contact regulations.\nReview project and facility costs as compared to budget to ensure costs are being allocated properly.\nForecasting – prepare weekly project forecasts including costs, invoicing and revenue calculations.\nMonitoring project billing milestones and ensure they are being billed and collected in a timely manner.\nAssisting with change order costing and bids & proposals as needed.\nAssisting with review of new contracts to assist with preparation of IFRS revenue recognition memos.\nAssist with providing auditors with contract, EAC and revenue calculation information as needed.\nRequired Skills and Experience: Required: B.S. Degree (or equivalent) in Finance/Accounting or related field.\nRequired: Minimum of 5 years in cost accounting, project accounting, or financial & planning analysis.\nRequired: Knowledge of GAAP Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards\nExperience with ERP systems, Excel and accounting consolidation software.\nMust have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.\nMust have excellent organizational skills\nExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and ERP systems.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.\nExcellent time management skills.\nMust be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive business-related materials.\nMust be able to work with people to accomplish assigned tasks.\nExperience with IFRS 15, over-time revenue recognition, percent complete accounting.\nExperience in a manufacturing accounting environment including inventory, standard costing, labor and overhead burden rates and project accounting.\nMust be able to read, understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.\nMust possess technical aptitude, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\nPhysical Demands: This position requires an onsite presence to perform the essential duties.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in the office performing work on a computer. Employee will be required to walk and be on the manufacturing floor.\nWork Environment/Conditions This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.\nLimited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.\nOccasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evening or weekend schedules.\nThe noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.\nCandidates are required to be authorized to work in the United States. All employees must be able to comply with the company Drug and Alcohol Policy, which includes participation in Company random drug testing.
