This role translates business needs and insights into lean, scalable, implementation-ready workflows enabled by data-informed decision-making. Working closely with senior designers, business partners, IT, and the project team to facilitate cross-functional alignment. Success in this role requires strong analytical, documentation, facilitation, and continuous improvement skills with the ability to lead moderately complex redesign projects with independence.\n\nThis is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in the Bloomington or Thief River Falls office. Domestic travel between DigiKey offices may be required to provide localized support.\nResponsibilities:\nProcess Analysis & Insights\nIndependently analyze current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, bottlenecks, and pain points\nSynthesize data, metrics, and stakeholder input into clear problem statements and design requirements\nConduct and document root cause analysis using standard continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto)\nDocumentation & Artifacts\nDocument end-to-end workflows, value streams, and process maps using standard tools and templates\nDevelop and maintain version-controlled process documentation aligned to governance standards\nCompile process metrics, insights, and supporting materials to inform design decisions\nFuture-State Process Design\nLead and support scoped future-state process design efforts aligned to strategy and system capabilities\nApply Lean and continuous improvement principles to simplify, standardize, and scale processes when analyzing processes and identifying improvement opportunities\nProduce implementation-ready artifacts (e.g., future-state maps, swim lanes, RACI, SOP outlines)\nIdentify risks and process gaps early and escalate with recommended mitigation options\nFacilitation & Stakeholder Engagement\nFacilitate and support cross-functional workshops and working sessions\nCapture decisions, action items, and assumptions; drive alignment and decision closure\nCollaborate with senior designers, business partners, and engineers across workstreams\nImplementation Readiness & Integration\nTranslate process designs into system-ready requirements and documentation\nPartner with IT and project teams to build, test, UAT, and deployment readiness\nValidate scenarios, role-based task flows, and exception handling\nChange Enablement & Continuous Improvement\nSupport change management through process communications, training inputs, and adoption materials\nReinforce standard work and continuous improvement practices post-implementation\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years relevant experience; or 2+ years' experience in process analysis, process improvement, business analysis, or operations transformation roles\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (required)\nDemonstrated experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies\nProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work independently with collaborating effectively within cross functional teams\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nExperience creating and maintaining process maps and documentation (current and future state)\nStrong analytical thinking, facilitation, and problem-solving skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with process mapping or visualization tools (e.g., Lucid, Visio, Celonis)\nExperience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet)\nFamiliarity with Salesforce, Manhattan EP&F, or similar enterprise systems\nExperience in distribution, supply chain, or operations focused environments\nKnowledge of DigiKey’s operations, systems, or business model\nAdditional certifications or training in BPM, Agile/Scrum, or PROSCI Change Management\nPhysical Requirements:\nPrimarily sedentary work performed at a desk or workstation\nModerate office noise levels\nFrequent use of computer devices and repetitive hand and head movements\nCompensation:\nThe base pay range for this position is:\n$67,250\nto\n$92,500\nMany factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.\n______________________________________________________________________\nMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
