Team members work in a collaborative environment with opportunities to support complex, high-impact matters for a wide range of industries.Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities. This full-time, onsite role is based in Evansville, IN. Daily responsibilities include drafting and formatting legal documents, organizing and managing case files, reviewing and summarizing documents, and assisting with the preparation of pleadings and motions. The paralegal will conduct legal and factual research, coordinate discovery responses, manage deadlines and court calendars, and communicate with clients, courts, and third parties as directed by attorneys. The role also involves preparing exhibits, assembling trial notebooks, assisting with trial logistics, and ensuring that case management systems and databases are kept accurate and up to date.QualificationsStrong skills in legal document preparation, including drafting and formatting correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.Experience with document review and management, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing records and discovery materials.Proficiency in legal research using online databases and court resources, with the ability to synthesize findings into clear summaries for attorney review.Hands-on experience preparing pleadings and motions, including e-filing and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal court rules.Paralegal certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.Prior litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in civil litigation or related practice areas.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and electronic filing platforms; familiarity with litigation support software is a plus.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism, discretion, and client confidentiality.
