Responsibilities include developing MCU based systems, maintaining Embedded Linux drivers and applications, debugging field issues, and documenting firmware reports using Azure DevOps.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPlan, develop, and implement firmware.\nSupport software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance.\nInterface with hardware design and development.\nCollaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to improve products.\nReport on current competitive technology trends, follow best practices in source control, and participate in code reviews.\nProvide post-production support when needed.\nTest firmware releases.\nDocument firmware reports using Azure DevOps.\nImplement MCU-based systems in Bare-Metal and/or RTOS.\nSet up and configure board support packages (BSPs).\nImplement and maintain Linux kernel drivers and scripts.\nReview prototype boards and hardware with hardware and embedded teams.\nDebug and resolve field issues.\nDevelop and patch device drivers.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field is required.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in embedded development.\nOver 5 years of experience in embedded software development is highly preferred.\nSkilled in agile development methodologies with practical application experience.\nHands-on experience with electrical test bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, DACs, and other diagnostic tools for hardware debugging.\nStrong command of programming languages C and C++ for Microcontrollers and Embedded Linux Development.\nExtensive knowledge of embedded systems software, including firmware, microcontrollers, peripherals, communication protocols, ISR, embedded software, and diagnostic procedures\nIn-depth understanding of embedded development for Bare-Metal, RTOS and Embedded Linux.\nAdvanced debugging skills utilizing process emulators, logic analyzers, and device logs to identify and resolve issues.\nProficiency in working with networking protocols within an embedded environment, specifically TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, and MQTT.\nProficient in using J1939 protocols, JTAG programming, CANBUS, and Serial Wire Debug (SWD) interfaces for comprehensive system troubleshooting and development.\nExperienced in working with Git repositories for version control\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Skills:\nMaster’s degree in technology or related field.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.\nWillingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nIt is the policy of Luminator to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
