This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in nonprofit development while making a meaningful impact in the lives of women in our community.\nPosition Summary\nThe Development Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Development Department through accurate gift processing, donor database management, and administrative support. This role is responsible for maintaining donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT, processing charitable contributions, preparing donor acknowledgments, supporting gift reconciliation, and assisting with donor stewardship activities.\nThe Development Coordinator also supports the organization's in-kind giving program and serves as the staff liaison to the Young Professionals Board. Working closely with the Development Director, Grants Manager, Communications Coordinator, and Finance Department, this position plays an important role in ensuring efficient fundraising operations and an exceptional donor experience.\nWhat You'll Do\nDonor Database & Events\nProcess charitable contributions and maintain accurate donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT.\nProcess online and recurring donations through multiple giving platforms.\nSupport monthly gift reconciliation with the Finance Department.\nGenerate donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, reports, mailing lists, and fundraising data.\nSupport donor stewardship activities and fundraising communications.\nAssist with eve\nnt revenue processing, sponsorship payments, and donor database maintenance.\nCoordinate Development intern assignments for administrative and fundraising projects in collaboration with the Development team.\nIn-Kind Giving\nCoordinate in-kind donation inquiries, processing, acknowledgments, and recordkeeping.\nCollaborate with program staff to identify donation needs and support seasonal donation drives.\nMaintain accurate inventory and documentation of donated items.\nCoordinate and provide guidance to interns and volunteers supporting in-kind donation activities.\nYoung Professionals Board\nServe as the staff liaison to the Young Professionals Board.\nCoordinate meeting logistics, communications, and follow-up.\nSupport fundraising, volunteer engagement, recruitment, and community outreach initiatives.\nTrack member participation and support board engagement activities.\nWhat We're Looking For\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.\n1-3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, database administration, office administration, or a related field preferred.\nExperience with Raiser's Edge NXT or a comparable donor database is preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong customer service and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nCommitment to the mission of Deborah's Place and a passion for serving women experiencing homelessness.\nWhy Join Us?\nAs a member of our Development team, you'll play an important role in advancing our mission and supporting the generous donors and partners who make our work possible.
