While the role carries an Analytics Engineer title, the primary focus is on dimensional data modeling and building the analytical foundation that supports enterprise reporting and analytics. This position is ideal for a hands-on data professional with strong experience in DBT, Snowflake, and star-schema design who enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to create scalable, analytics-ready data solutions.\nCore Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain star-schema data models, including fact and dimension tables\nBuild and support DBT models, testing frameworks, and transformation pipelines\nDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL workloads within Snowflake\nApply data modeling best practices, including dimensional design, normalization, and denormalization techniques\nPartner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable analytical solutions\nSupport data delivery from ingestion through transformation and into reporting and analytics layers\nParticipate in design discussions, peer reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives\nDocument data models, architectural decisions, and engineering standards\nPromote consistency in modeling practices and data governance across the organization\nHelp improve and maintain the analytical platform as data volume and business demands continue to grow\nRequired Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Strong hands-on experience with DBT development and testing\nExtensive experience with Snowflake and SQL performance optimization\nProven expertise designing and implementing star-schema dimensional models\nDeep understanding of fact and dimension modeling concepts\nExperience supporting enterprise data warehousing and analytics environments\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work effectively within cross-functional teams\nStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nSelf-starter mindset with the ability to learn independently through technical documentation and knowledge bases\nPreferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Azure cloud experience\nAzure Data Factory (ADF)\nPython development experience\nAPI integration experience\nPower BI Semantic Models\nPower Query\nSnowPro certification\nDP-203 certification\nExperience working in modern data platforms utilizing GitHub and contemporary cloud technologies\nExperience contributing to data architecture and modeling standards\nKey Competencies & Behaviors Strong data modeling and analytical thinking capabilities\nCurious and continuous learner\nSelf-motivated and highly independent\nCollaborative team player who enjoys knowledge sharing\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data quality\nAbility to balance technical excellence with business objectives\nComfortable working in evolving environments and organizational changes\nSolution-oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting abilities\nPassion for best practices in data modeling and analytics engineering\nWork Environment Contract position supporting a growing and stable enterprise analytics platform Opportunity to work with modern technologies including Snowflake, DBT, Azure, and GitHub One-and-done onsite interview process Hiring manager is focused on finding the right long-term fit rather than filling the role quickly Collaborative environment that encourages learning, self-service, and continuous development Candidates should be comfortable working independently while partnering across technical and business teams\nCompensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00.
