Join our team.\nAbout the Role\nAbout the Role\n\nGap Inc. is looking for a passionate and technically driven Network Engineer to support and evolve the network infrastructure that powers our North American distribution centers. This role is onsite and deeply hands-on, focused on design, implementation, and optimization of a modern, large-scale enterprise network.\n\nAs part of the Infrastructure organization, you’ll work closely with internal teams and our managed service provider to ensure our LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-connected networks are reliable, secure, and ready for the future.\nWhat You'll Do\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and optimize LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN infrastructure supporting Gap’s distribution centers across North America.\nCollaborate with the Infrastructure leadership team, MSPs, and cross-functional engineering teams to plan and deliver resilient, scalable network solutions.\nSupport and enhance cloud networking integrations across hybrid environments.\nAdminister and maintain technologies including Juniper, Mist, Arista, Meraki, Infoblox, and F5 platforms.\nContribute to the design and upkeep of firewall, load balancer, and DNS/DHCP services.\nApply automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar) to improve operational efficiency and configuration consistency.\nOccasionally assist with compute, virtualization, and storage infrastructure in support of broader data center initiatives.\nDrive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of network performance and reliability.\nMaintain detailed network documentation, adhering to change management and operational standards.\nStay current with emerging technologies to ensure Gap’s network remains agile, secure, and scalable.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\n3–6 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise networks.\nStrong technical expertise in LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM.\nWorking knowledge of Juniper, Mist, Arista, Meraki, Infoblox, and F5 technologies.\nSolid understanding of firewalls, load balancers, and network security principles.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking (Azure, OCI).\nExperience with network automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).\nExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a bias for ownership and action.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills; able to effectively liaise with internal teams and managed service partners.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRelevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIS, or equivalent experience.\nExposure to compute, virtualization, or storage technologies.\nFamiliarity with ITIL or structured change management processes.\nSoft Skills & Attributes\nOwnership mindset – proactive in identifying and resolving network issues.\nCollaborative – thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.\nInnovative – excited by new technologies and modernization initiatives.\nResilient – capable of balancing hands-on support with long-term design work.\nBenefits at Gap Inc.\nMerchandise discount for our brands: 50% off regular-priced merchandise at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta, and 30% off at Outlet for all employees.\nOne of the most competitive Paid Time Off plans in the industry.*\nEmployees can take up to five “on the clock” hours each month to volunteer at a charity of their choice.*\nExtensive 401(k) plan with company matching for contributions up to four percent of an employee’s base pay.*\nEmployee stock purchase plan.*\nMedical, dental, vision and life insurance.*\nSee more of the benefits we offer.\nFor eligible employees\nGap Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
