This position will support the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Wind, Hybrid Energy, and Microgrid facilities , through SCADA, controls, integration, and commissioning activities.\n\nYour Impact\nSupport SCADA and controls engineering activities for Solar PV, BESS, Wind, Hybrid Energy, and Microgrid projects.\nAssist with the development of SCADA system architecture, point lists, HMI configurations, communication network layouts, and project documentation.\nSupport integration, testing, and validation of plant monitoring and control systems.\nParticipate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, startup, and energization activities.\nAssist with troubleshooting SCADA, controls, communications, and system integration issues throughout project execution and commissioning.\nProvide field support for installation, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.\nConduct periodic site visits to support equipment verification, issue resolution, client coordination, and construction progress reviews.\nCollaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.\nPrepare commissioning reports, test records, system documentation, and project closeout deliverables.\nSupport the continuous improvement of engineering standards, commissioning procedures, and operational practices.\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\nWho You Are\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n0-2 years of relevant experience in SCADA, controls, automation, power systems, renewable energy, or related industries.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing assigned tasks independently.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation.\nDemonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality.\nAbility to travel occasionally to project sites for testing, commissioning, and field support activities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExposure to SCADA, PLC, HMI, or industrial control systems through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience.\nKnowledge of renewable energy technologies, including Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Wind, and Microgrids.\nExperience supporting testing, commissioning, startup, or field engineering activities.\nUnderstanding of power system operations, electrical infrastructure, and plant controls.\nInternship, co-op, research, or project experience related to energy, automation, controls, or electrical systems.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification.\n\n “ WSP brings global expertise in power delivery, power generation, and program management—anchored by the acquisition of POWER Engineers, Inc.
