This position leads and develops warehouse associates, monitors operational performance and KPIs, ensures inventory accuracy and safety, and works closely with warehouse leadership, Inventory, Transportation, Sales, and other departments to resolve issues and keep operations on schedule.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead daily closing-shift warehouse operations and ensure orders are accurately selected, loaded, and prepared for delivery.\nSupervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates while maintaining accountability for attendance, productivity, safety, quality, and performance.\nMonitor productivity, labor utilization, order accuracy, inventory, and other key operational metrics.\nAnalyze results and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, service, and cost-effectiveness.\nUtilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and voice-pick technology to support warehouse operations.\nCoordinate with Inventory and Transportation to resolve issues and ensure orders and deliveries are completed on schedule.\nVerify outbound loads, inventory rotation, product handling, and order accuracy.\nConduct warehouse inspections and ensure equipment, processes, and procedures meet company safety standards.\nParticipate in accident investigations, safety initiatives, training, and OSHA compliance efforts.\nReview payroll, operational reports, and other documentation for accuracy and timeliness.\nIdentify and assist with implementing process improvements and operational initiatives.\nCommunicate operational needs, challenges, and opportunities to management and other departments.\nPromote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.\n4–5 years of progressive warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations supervisory/leadership experience.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.\nExperience monitoring operational KPIs and using data to identify opportunities for improvement.\nExperience with inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/loading, or distribution operations.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.\nStrong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.\nAbility to prioritize competing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work extended hours when operational needs require.\nMust successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including a physical, drug screen, background check, and MVR review, if applicable.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in beverage, food, grocery, consumer products, or another high-volume distribution environment.\nExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and voice-pick technology.\nExperience supervising multiple shifts, departments, or large warehouse teams.\nExperience managing labor productivity, order accuracy, service levels, and other warehouse KPIs.\nExperience implementing process improvements that increased productivity, reduced errors, or improved efficiency.\nStrong understanding of inventory control, product rotation, order selection, loading, and distribution processes.\nTrack record of developing employees and preparing high-potential team members for increased responsibility.\nForklift and/or electric pallet jack certification, or ability to obtain after hire.\nCDL-A license is a plus but not required.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse.\nOccasionally lift up to 50 pounds independently.\nWork in warehouse, refrigerated cooler, and outdoor environments.\nSafely operate warehouse equipment while enforcing company safety standards.\nMaintain productivity, quality, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.\n\nWest Side Beer Distributing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
