In addition, this position will be the primary resource for internal process and quality management.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProvide daily quality and technical assistance, investigation and decision making to the manufacturing operation.\n\nWork closely with Design & Applications team on internal quality decisions.\n\nManage supplier certificate of analysis and performance communication, documentation, and corrective action (SCAR log).\n\nLead operational excellence (OPEX) projects on process optimization, cost reduction and material changes.\n\nSupport the implementation and consolidation of packaging specifications required by customers.\n\nRequired to attend the daily manufacturing meeting where follow-up actions are identified to maintain flow through the plant and meet customer orders.\n\nActively participate in behavioral-based safety programs and employee engagement.\n\nSupport the archiving and evaluation of manufacturing data systems.\n\nMember of the Integrated Management System (IMS) team.\n\nManage scrap non-conformance investigation forms (SNIF's) log.\n\nThis position is part of a 24‑hour quality text line to provide infrequent, but necessary, guidance to the press fabric operation supervisors after hours and on weekends.\n\nRequired Skills / Abilities\n\nAbility to apply engineering and scientific principles to resolve problems and make improvements.\n\nCapable of working in a flexible, often shifting manufacturing environment.\n\nAbility to interact effectively with customers, management team and production personnel.\n\nBusiness knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, project management and planning.\n\nComfortable working in manufacturing environment and around equipment.\n\nAbility to facilitate and drive the resolution of complex problems using data.\n\nWillingness to travel locally, nationally or globally when needed.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects at the same time with various timelines.\n\nStrong communication skills, including the ability to write and orally present technical information.\n\nMust be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.\n\nIntermediate‑level knowledge of Microsoft software packages.\n\nExposure to Six Sigma training and Minitab preferred.\n\nBasic understanding of lean principles and design of experiment.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nMinimum requirements include a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/science curriculum.\n\n3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering or science field.
