The role also performs forge process audits and supports furnace pyrometry compliance.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThis is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.\n\nRecords critical \"in process\" parameters in forge environment including:\nOptical pyrometer readings for tooling and material (on and off die) temperature.\n\nFurnace soak times and forging time as well as ramp-up time.\n\nExtracts rolling parameters and tonnage data from specific ring-roll mills/presses.\n\nReports any \"in process\" non-conformances to the Quality Department and other appropriate parties.\n\nMaintains and archives documentation as per company procedures.\n\nAbility to interpret blueprints and measure parts in accordance with blueprints.\n\n`Must have correctable vision to meet the requirements of company work instructions and procedures.\n\nInterface with other departments.\n\nMust have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.\n\nMaintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and quality and procedures.\n\nPerforms furnace pyrometry activities (i.e. SAT's, furnace inspection, etc).\n\nSupport calibration of furnaces, tools and optical pyrometers.\n\nPerform Quality Forge and Forge Furnace Audits\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities\n\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\n\nMathematical Skills\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\n\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nPhysical Demand\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
