Manufacturing, Production, and Electronics Technician
Position Summary: Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify and install AWS hardware systems and assemblies. Discuss layout, assembly procedures, and problems with Engineers. Create and maintain documentation using Word, Excel and CAD of system layout and configurations allowing for the repeatable manufacturing of AWS hardware systems. Follow, maintain, implement, and document quality control processes. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Provide technical support to customers over the phone as well as in-person. Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers. Must operate but not limited to saws, drills, grinders, or other machine tools to fabricate AWS hardware systems. Assist in tracking, maintaining, and ordering necessary inventory items. Perform basic building maintenance.
Hours: Full-time position “in person” at AWS, 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
Requirements: 2+ years experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment; Personal computer skills; Strong troubleshooting skills; Excellent communication skills; Reliable self starter with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in team and individual settings; Travel required with overnight stays; Prefer background in industrial applications. Experience in weighing industry a plus.
Safely use power tools (drills, saws, belt sander, etc.)
Safely work on deenergized 120 VAC circuits
Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals (power and data)

Duties & Respponsibilities
Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify and install AWS hardware systems and assemblies
Create and maintain documentation using Word, Excel and CAD of system layout and configurations
Follow, maintain, implement, and document quality control processes
Assist in tracking, maintaining, and ordering necessary inventory items
Maintain organization of AWS inventory
Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment
Operation of tools, i.e. drills, saws, etc.
Auxiliary installer of AWS software & hardware at customer site
Travel with overnight stays (travel will vary based on installation schedule)
Test and troubleshoot AWS hardware at office and at customer site
Provide hardware training to AWS end-users
Provide technical support to new and existing customers both over the phone as well as in-person
Maintain office building and tools: Change light bulbs, shovel sidewalks, clean garage, etc.
Maintain vehicles: Wash, clean interior, check & organize installation kits
Attend department & staff meetings
Manage time on multiple projects
Special projects and duties as assigned
