This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The intern will contribute to various stages of the project, from conceptualization to data analysis and publication and will be responsible for:\nDeveloping or enhancing systems software tools and simulation frameworks for workload profiling and tiered memory management\nDesigning, implementing, and evaluating methodologies and algorithms for data placement and migration in tiered memory systems\nIdentifying optimization strategies for different workload access patterns in tiered memory systems\nCollaborating with other researchers and engineers across Micron and external partners\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong background and experience in memory systems, operating systems, distributed systems, or parallel computing\nProficiency in systems programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and experience with Linux, shell script, GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL) and debugging utilities\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency in the Linux kernel memory management subsystem\nExperience with system-level and memory simulators (e.g., Gem5, Ramulator)\nExperience with emerging memory technologies (e.g., HBM, CXL) and their architectures\nExperience with data-intensive applications and datacenter workloads\nExperience with performance analysis and optimization tools\nExperience with machine learning techniques\nAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
