We will empower you to lead, develop deep expertise, and find new approaches to solving the toughest challenges.\n\nPosition Overview:\nThe Manager of Development will play a critical role in advancing the mission of the Foundation by managing fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, and executing development strategies. The ideal candidate will secure philanthropic support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to fund qualified initiatives and services that align with the Foundation’s mission as well as key programs, including Hiring Our Heroes, the Civic Trust (including the National Civics Bee), and Workforce (including AI and the Future of Work).\nThe candidate will collaborate with Foundation leadership, development team members, program leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of revenue-generating activities and donor engagement.\nThis position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDevelop and execute fundraising plans, including strategies for securing support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to fund programs and services.\nCollaborate with Foundation leadership, development team members, program leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of fundraising efforts and donor engagement.\nCultivate, solicit, and oversee relationships with new and existing donors through personalized communication, events, and recognition programs.\nEngage in planning, managing, and executing fundraising events.\nHelp prepare and submit grant proposals, partnership proposals, and stewardship reports to foundations, corporations, and individuals.\nManage key funder data and reporting, maintain donor databases, and ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports.\nHelp prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport communication efforts, including impact reporting, annual program reports, and\ndonor-specific communications\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree preferred, but not required\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or sales.\nProven track record of securing significant gifts, grants, or sales contracts.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.\nComfortable working in a cross-matrixed system.\nAbility to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.\nStrong emotional intelligence and maturity.\nAble to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience working with public-private partnerships.\nProficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software and comfortable learning additional software and system tools as needed.\nStrong knowledge of fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge).\nThe salary range for this position is $83,498.00 to $90,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
