This role supports safe, efficient, and accurate production by maintaining material flow, inventory accuracy, product quality, and equipment readiness throughout the manufacturing process.\n\nThis is a hands‑on role requiring attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work across multiple production areas in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The Processing Operator is expected to support equipment operation, perform first‑level troubleshooting, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts as operations become increasingly automated.\n\nResponsibilities\nMaterial Handling & Processing\n\nStage, transport, and verify raw materials for production using forklifts and material handling equipment\n\nAccurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients according to approved formulations\n\nOperate mixing tanks, blending equipment, pumps, filters, scales, and related processing systems\n\nFollow batch formulas, production schedules, and standard operating procedures to ensure product consistency\n\nSupport material movement and inventory accuracy throughout the production process\n\nPerform Clean‑In‑Place (CIP) operations and equipment sanitation activities in accordance with established sanitation procedures.\n\nHandle cleaning and sanitation chemicals safely while following all applicable safety and operating procedures.\n\nEquipment Operation & Troubleshooting\n\nPerform equipment startup, shutdown, operational checks, and changeovers as needed\n\nMonitor processing equipment and production systems to ensure efficient operation\n\nMonitor equipment status, alarms, and operating parameters through HMI interfaces\n\nRespond to process alarms and equipment faults by following established troubleshooting procedures\n\nPerform first-level troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize downtime\n\nUtilize hand tools and basic maintenance tools during equipment adjustments, setup, and operational support\n\nEscalate advanced mechanical, electrical, or PLC‑related issues to Maintenance as needed\n\nAutomation & Systems\n\nUtilize HMI screens and machine control interfaces to operate and monitor processing equipment\n\nEnter and maintain production, inventory, and quality information within company systems\n\nUtilize ERP, inventory, scanning, or warehouse management systems to and processing areas\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve quality, safety, and productivity\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n\nManufacturing, food production, chemical processing, or related experience preferred\n\nForklift certification or experience operating forklifts preferred\n\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and basic math skills\n\nMechanical aptitude and ability to utilize hand tools and perform basic equipment adjustments\n\nExperience performing CIP, sanitation, or chemical handling activities in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nBasic computer proficiency and ability to navigate manufacturing software and electronic documentation systems\n\nExperience working with HMI‑controlled or automated processing equipment preferred\n\nFamiliarity with PLC‑controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems preferred\n\nExperience with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, or scanning systems preferred\n\nKnowledge of cGMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards preferred\n\nExperience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment or participating in continuous improvement
