The ideal candidate for this job lights up the charts when it comes to setting a good example and keeping coworkers motivated. We’re looking for a natural leader with good knowledge of products, money handling experience, and top tier customer service skills. This role will be tasked with keeping the break schedule on track, making sure budtender chores are complete and opening or closing the store and cash drawers at the end of shift. While running a dispensary is a joint effort the Lead budtender will also work directly with the Dispensary management to make sure everything on the dispensary floor is running smoothly and according to rules and regulations. If you’re someone with a passion for helping cannabis patients and someone who always rises to the occasion of leadership, come join our team!\n***Set schedule but must have weekend availability ****\nDuties:\nComplete and appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including:\nCorrect cash handling and discount application\nVerification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for patients\nAccurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system\nAssistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy\nSecurity measures and safety compliance\nMaintenance of an organized and clean store\nMaintenance of open communication with the management team and other coworkers\nReporting of team member issues or patient situations\nOpening and closing duties\nEnsuring accuracy with the vault\nOther duties include:\n-Heavy cash handling\n-Opening and closing budtender drawers\n-Keeping budtenders on track with their break and lunches\n-Make sure budtender chores are complete\n-Handle customer complaints and returns when management is not there.\n- Maintain knowledge of current regulations and compliance requirements\n-- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dispensary\n- Assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products based on their preferences and needs\n- Provide detailed information about different strains, products, and consumption methods\n- Educate customers on the effects and potential benefits of various cannabis products\n- Process transactions using the cash register and ensure accuracy in cash handling\n- Keep the dispensary clean and organized, including restocking shelves as needed\n- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment\n- Key holding\nRequirements:\n- Previous experience in cannabis retail (TREEZ POS A PLUS)\n-1 year or more experience in lead or supervisor role required\n- Strong knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods\n- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide detailed product information to customers\n- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management\n- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively\n- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail\n- Comfortable with technology such as cash registers or point-of-sale systems\nPlease note that this position involves working with marijuana products. All applicants must be at least 21 years old and comply with state regulations.\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be 21 years or older\nMust pass any and all required background checks.\nPossess valid driver’s license or state ID.\nMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.\nMust be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
