This role is ideal for a confident, organized leader who can manage projects of varying size and complexity while developing and supporting their team.Typically, this position requires 10 to 12 years of experience, with a Master Plumber License preferred.What You'll DoLeadership and Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and motivate plumbing crewsFoster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environmentPromote growth and skill development across team membersMaintain strong, respectful working relationshipsPlanning and ExecutionPlan and organize work to meet project schedules and milestonesCoordinate manpower needs with Project Managers and Lead MechanicsEnsure materials, tools, and equipment are available and used efficientlyMaintain a clean, organized, and productive job siteTechnical Expertise and QualityOversee all aspects of plumbing installation and workmanshipEnsure all work meets or exceeds applicable codes and trade standardsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentsMaintain accurate documentation including change orders and as-built drawingsSafety and ComplianceEnforce OSHA and company safety policiesEnsure proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all timesConduct safety meetings and address jobsite hazards proactivelyRespond appropriately to incidents and escalate when neededProblem Solving and Decision MakingIdentify and resolve issues quickly and effectivelyDevelop practical solutions and make sound field decisionsRecognize when to escalate complex issues for additional supportCommunication and CoordinationCommunicate clearly with crews, project leadership, and other tradesDelegate tasks effectively and follow up to ensure quality completionCoordinate work with other teams on multi-trade job sitesRepresent Southern Air with professionalism and integrityWhat We're Looking For10 to 12 years of plumbing experience in commercial or residential constructionMaster Plumber License preferredProven leadership and supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and construction practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsDependable, safety-focused, and detail-orientedAbility to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checksWork Environment and Physical RequirementsThis is a hands-on leadership role in a construction environment and may include:Frequent standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and liftingAbility to lift up to 50 poundsWorking indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsDriving between job sites, including occasional extended travelExposure to construction materials, tools, and equipmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.Equal Opportunity EmployerSouthern Air, Inc. is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
