Rev Group is a veteran friendly employer and hires over 200 veterans and or those transferring out of the military each year.\r\nThe Field Service Technician supports dealers and customers by delivering vehicles, providing hands-on training, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with field repairs. This role works closely with the Service, Engineering, and Parts teams to ensure vehicles are delivered properly, operate as designed, and meet customer expectations.\r\nFrequent travel is required.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nCustomer & Field Support\r\nAssist with new vehicle deliveries and ensure all components and accessories are complete.\r\nProvide on-site training to customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance of vehicle systems.\r\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and component-related issues in the field.\r\nDocument issues, identify shortages, and follow through to resolution.\r\nServe as a liaison between customers, dealers, and internal departments.\r\nSupport periodic vehicle inspections and assist with complex field repairs.\r\nTechnical Support\r\nCoordinate with the Service Department on delivery readiness and field concerns.\r\nReview shop orders prior to delivery for accuracy and completeness.\r\nProvide feedback and recommendations related to recurring repair or design concerns.\r\nInitiate documentation for engineering changes when applicable.\r\nMaintain service reports, history records, and required documentation.\r\nTraining & Documentation\r\nAssist in developing training materials such as manuals, videos, and instructional aids.\r\nPrepare and distribute training materials and evaluate training effectiveness.\r\nIdentify training needs and recommend updates to programs or materials.\r\nTravel\r\nFrequent travel to customer and dealer locations for deliveries, training, inspections, and service support.\r\nOccasional international travel may be required.\r\nPosition Expectations\r\nFollow all company safety policies and properly use PPE.\r\nPerform work in accordance with company quality standards and 5S practices.\r\nMaintain a professional image when representing the company at customer sites.\r\nBe flexible with schedule and work hours based on travel and customer needs.\r\nParticipate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.\r\nWork effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with internal and external partners.\r\nRequirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment)\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\r\nTwo (2) years of technical or trade school education in mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, or related field OR minimum five (5) years of field service experience (fire apparatus experience preferred).\r\nStrong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical systems.\r\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\r\nGood verbal and written communication skills; ability to train customers effectively.\r\nProficient computer skills.\r\nValid driver's license required. Class B CDL- highly preferred\r\nAbility to travel frequently.\r\nValid passport - highly preferred.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds frequently.\r\nAbility to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods.\r\nMust be able to work in shop and field environments, including exposure to moving equipment, heights, heat, and chemicals.\r\nVisual acuity required for mechanical work and vehicle operation.\r\nREV Group is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
