KBR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an AI/ML Systems Engineer. This is a contingent hire for a full-time client facing position supporting a government agency. If you have a passion for systems engineering and the integration of new technologies such as AI/ML, this is the perfect opportunity to apply your expertise and contribute to impactful projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and apply systems engineering products and analyses to support requirement development, acquisition, deployment, and sustainment of AI/ML capabilities.\n\nDevelop, deploy, and maintain AI and machine learning models using given datasets and customer requirements.\n\nTest and develop machine learning that meet or exceed desired performance evaluation metrics.\n\nUtilize understanding of the concepts of supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, model evaluation metrics, and hyperparameter tuning.\n\nMonitor model performance in production environments to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable model performance.\n\nDevelop AI/ML concept plans, including requirements and conceptual planning.\n\nAssist in the design and development of AI algorithms.\n\nConduct technology trade studies to research, analyze, and evaluate various options, documenting results to determine the best value solution for specific problems.\n\nPerform engineering investigations of considerable complexity to resolve technical issues.\n\nReview literature, patents, and current practices to inform solutions for assigned projects.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.\n\nThree (3) or more years of relevant IC or DoD financial experience.\n\nMinimum of eight (8) years of progressively complex systems design, acquisition, and test experience.\n\nActive TS/SCI Clearance.\n\nDesired\n\nMaster’s degree in systems or electrical engineering preferred.\n\nSystems Engineering certification from INCOSE or DAWIA preferred.\n\n10 years of experience in AI/ML preferred.\n\nBasic Compensation\n$171,700.00 - $209,800.00\n\nThis range is for the Washington, DC Metro Area only. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\n\nAdditional Compensation\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
