What We Offer: Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive tied to production resultsA senior, growth-oriented role with a clear path to greater ownership and responsibilityAccess to industry-leading platforms, carrier relationships, and in-force data toolsA collaborative, client-first culture where your contributions are visible and valuedProfessional development support — we invest in designations, licensure, and continuing educationStable, structured environment with the creative latitude of an “Intrapreneur”What You’ll Do: Business Development & Client EngagementEngage existing Valmark clients and affiliated advisors to identify planning needs and present life insurance solutions stemming from policy reviews and firm-generated opportunitiesLead proactive outreach to clients with underperforming or at-risk policies, and to accounts that no longer have an active advisor relationshipRespond to inbound inquiries, qualify opportunities, and provide timely, thoughtful solutionsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with affiliated advisors, trust companies, and other institutional partners — including serving as the lead insurance advisor for an existing strategic partnerDrive client action through clear, professional communication — without high-pressure tacticsCase Design & Insurance StrategyReview in-force policy data and run illustrations to identify planning gaps, lapse risk, or conversion and replacement opportunitiesPrepare policy reviews and client-ready presentations in collaboration with Valmark’s Insurance Marketing and Policy Management teamsApply Valmark’s Life Insurance 10X philosophy, carrier relationships, and product portfolio to develop appropriate, client-centered solutionsCoordinate with internal teams — including Policy Management, Life Settlement Advocacy, Insurance Marketing, Underwriting, and New Business — to move cases from opportunity through placementPipeline & Technology ManagementMaintain accurate records in Valmark’s CRM, tracking opportunities, activity, and case status through the full sales cycleLeverage in-force data tools and carrier platforms to research policy details, run illustrations, and support presentationsHelp shape the outreach workflows, templates, and follow-up sequences that will define this practice for years to comeWhat You Bring: Required5+ years of experience in life insurance, financial services, or a closely related field, with meaningful exposure to life insurance products, policy administration, or client serviceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, Economics, or a related disciplineActive Life Insurance license (required at hire or within 60 days)Demonstrated experience working directly with clients or advisors — whether in sales, case management, or advisory supportComfort with technology platforms including CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and carrier illustration systemsStrong organization and follow-through: you can manage multiple open cases without losing accuracy or momentumPreferredExperience working with independent advisors, RIAs, or broker-dealer affiliated professionalsPrior experience in a salaried-plus-incentive structure — comfortable with production-linked rewardsFINRA Series 7 and Series 65 or 66 (required within 90 days of hire)LOMA FLMI or ALMI, CFP®, CLU®, or ChFC® designation Core Competencies: Insurance Product Knowledge — Solid, practical understanding of life insurance products and in-force mechanics, with genuine drive to deepen expertise over timeClient-Facing Communication — Clear, personable, and professional; able to simplify complex concepts and build lasting trust with clients and advisorsSales Drive — Motivated to identify opportunities, help clients take action, and grow into increasing ownership of resultsIntrapreneur Mindset — Takes initiative, thinks creatively, and is energized by building something new within a supportive, established organizationTechnology Aptitude — Comfortable navigating CRM systems, carrier tools, and data platforms to stay organized and prioritize effectivelyOrganization & Follow-Through — Detail-oriented and reliable; capable of managing multiple cases and client interactions simultaneously Salary Range: $70,000 - 80,000Bonus target of $50k-$100k based on performance results.Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.Physical Demands: This is a sedentary role with no specific physical demands.Expected Hours of Work: Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must work 40 hours per week to maintain full-time status.Up to 2 days WFH per week, per policyValmark reserves the right to modify, interpret, or apply this job description in any way the Company desires.
