Cardio/Cardiac Surg Abstractor/Analyst

Functioning within the Health System's mission, values, objectives, and policies and procedures, the Abstractor/Analyst is responsible for abstracting data from the respective service line’s patient charts and entry into the appropriate quality databases and submissions to the respective entities. The Abstractor/ Analyst also performs abstraction, as requested, for additional quality assurance/improvement projects, generates reports, and serves as a resource to staff and physicians as needed. Assists with preparation of data for presentations and/or committees. All other duties as assigned. Education: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN/ LPN) and/or a Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) licensed in the state of Ohio. Licensure/Certification: Valid unrestricted license with the Ohio Board of Nursing and/or the State Medical Board of Ohio. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience required with Cardiac background preferred. Cath lab experience preferred. Skills: Must possess critical thinking skills. Must possess positive communication skills, be motivated, self-directed and a self-starter.
