Part-Time Band Instructor

The three private schools in Delavan, Wisconsin (Delavan Christian School, Our Redeemer Lutheran School, and St. Andrew Parish School) are dedicated to fostering a love for music and helping students develop their musical talents. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Band Instructor to join our three schools. The ideal candidate will have experience in music education and a strong ability to inspire and engage students in various aspects of band performance. The instructor will teach individual band lessons at the three schools and a combined band lesson at one of the schools weekly. Responsibilities: Teach and conduct band classes for 5th through 8th grade students Plan and execute engaging and educational music lessons Prepare students for performances and competitions Collaborate with school administrators Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and performance Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in teaching or conducting a school band Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and inspire students Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods Hours: Dependent upon the number of students participating Compensation: Dependent upon the number of students participating Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 14 per week Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: Teaching: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Delavan, WI 53115 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Delavan, WI 53115: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
