Legacy Tax & Wealth Management is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and client-friendly Bookkeeper to join our growing tax and wealth management office. This position will support both internal operations and client bookkeeping needs by assisting with financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, payroll support, and ongoing accounting tasks.The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable communicating directly with clients regarding bookkeeping questions, missing information, payroll items, and general account needs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people while also maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.This is an excellent long-term opportunity within a growing professional office environment.ScheduleMonday through Thursday9:00 AM – 4:00 PMPrimary ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records for multiple business clientsPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsCategorize transactions and maintain bookkeeping recordsWork within Certiflex and QuickBooks bookkeeping systemsAssist with payroll processing and payroll-related tasksAssist with monthly financial reporting and account reviewsTrack accounts payable and accounts receivable when neededCommunicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping questions, missing documents, payroll items, and account updatesAssist clients professionally over the phone, by email, and in personAssist with year-end tax preparation support and document organizationReview bookkeeping files for accuracy and completenessHelp organize digital files and accounting recordsSupport the tax and accounting team with administrative bookkeeping tasksQualifications & Skills2–3 years of bookkeeping experience requiredExperience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferredExperience with Certiflex or similar bookkeeping/payroll software is a plusStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable speaking directly with clients in a professional mannerStrong organizational and time management skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesBasic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principlesAbility to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial informationComfortable working independently while also collaborating with a teamBasic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WordPreferred ExperienceExperience working in a tax office, bookkeeping office, or professional office environmentPayroll processing experienceExperience handling small business bookkeepingAssociate degree or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or businessFamiliarity with sales tax, payroll tax, or financial statement preparation
