{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"13163ec7dbbaca0ee0c634df","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/13163ec7dbbaca0ee0c634df","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/13163ec7dbbaca0ee0c634df","title":"EMT- Basic","description":"More Information about this Job:\n\nEMT (Full Time)\n\nCompton, CA\n\nInternal Applicants please apply through the Home Portal.\n\nJOB SUMMARY\n\nThe Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and delivers high quality patient care, treatment, and customer service in the most expedient, professional, safe, caring, and cost effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and Company policies.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nMaintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and quality assurance procedures in system in which assigned.\nMaintains awareness of any and all changes in the system components and company policy.\nMaintains the level and type of certification(s) consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.\nComplies with all state and company requirements for operation of motor vehicle.\nOperates a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.\nDevelops ability to quickly and safely locate addresses through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.\nEnsures that unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply and equipment, cleanliness and appearance standards.\nReports immediately to the Lead Paramedic any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit's ability to complete a call.\nCompletes all appropriate EMT documentation as outlined in company policy.\nReports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the Lead Paramedic or Supervisor.\nMaintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.\nAttends all mandatory in-services.\nOther Duties as defined on the job description.\n\nEducation/Certifications/Licensures:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)\nCA Drivers' License\nAmbulance Driver's License (from DMV)\nMedical Examiner's Card or DL51 (from DMV)\nState of California EMT License\nCPR Card ( American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable )\nDriving record in compliance with McCormick's Safety and Driving policy ( proof required if conditional employment is made )\nICS courses, please refer to link http://training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.asp.\nIS-100B (ICS 100)\nIS-200B (ICS 200)\nIS-700A (NIMS)\nIS-800B (NIMS)\n\nWhy Choose AMR ?
