Purchasing & Warehouse Manager

Position OverviewThe Purchasing and Warehouse Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing products and services that meet our business objectives and standards. This role directly manages a small team, which coordinates resort wide shipping and receiving logistics. The successful candidate is a collaborative leader that nurtures relationships of all types and is a smart negotiator that obtains the best price for the highest quality.Responsibilities Develop and manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing or receiving. Implement new or improved processes and logistics from the purchasing/ordering process through to timely and efficient distribution. Ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate spoilage, waste, and excess inventory. Ensure the cost of goods and inventory is tracked and analyzed to provide recommendations that achieve maximum profitability. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service. Recommend and implement cost control measuresQualifications Combined three (3) or more years’ experience in Purchasing and Purchasing Management. Warehousing experience and managing logistics an asset. History of proven leadership skills and ability to manage with energy, positivity, kindness, and respect. Strong knowledge of and ability to use various software, including procurement solutions (Birchstreet), accounting software and MS Office is required. Proven ability to perform fiscal and managerial duties that include maintaining accurate, confidential, and auditable records.
