The Microtransit Operator is responsible for providing safe and superior customer service on an assigned manifest.\nJob Specifications:\n\nTransports passengers to and from designated virtual stops, and fixed route transfer points as assigned throughout each service zone.\nCollects cash fares as required and understands the overall fare structure as it relates to the direct service and connecting transit services.\nProvides information to passengers regarding the Microtransit service and connecting transit services.\nOperates wheelchair lift when necessary and secures passengers in accordance with company requirements.\nOperates 2-way radio and Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) to communicate with Dispatch to report accidents, emergencies, schedule delays, equipment failure and/or unusual circumstances.\nDocuments pre and post trip inspections and incidents.\nRequirements:\nGood verbal communication skills.\nMust be 21 years or older.\nHave held a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for at least 3 years.\nAll applicants are subject to a drug test, and physical.\nKnowledge of:\nMicrotransit, fixed route, or paratransit services.\nService area.\nDefensive driving and safe vehicle operation.\nAbility To:\nWork independently to perform a variety of functions while working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to meet established deadlines.\nExhibit problem-solving skills and exceptional customer service.\nHas the desire to care for the organization's well-being and for the co-workers he/she interacts with.\nBe open to collaborate and work in a team-oriented and helping environment.\nPossess a positive attitude, and ability to practice good judgement, while open to receiving/providing feedback.\nFoster a culture that values critical thinking and problem solving; and encourages constructive feedback and engagement.\nPhysical Requirements:\nOccasional standing, walking, and sitting.\nLong periods of sitting.\nOccasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nMust be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.\nMost work is accomplished indoors.\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nAll Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
