This role ensures the facility is functional, efficient, and well-maintained, and that all incoming and outgoing materials are handled accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable balancing facilities tasks with logistics duties.Facilities ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systemsTroubleshoot issues and complete repairs using sound judgment, technical skill, and personal initiativeExecute and manage technically complex projects with minimal supervisionConduct regular facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and improvement opportunitiesAssist in scheduling, escorting, and overseeing contractors performing facility repairs or projectsAssist with office moves, equipment installations, furniture assembly, and workspace reconfigurationsMaintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in clean, safe working conditionFollow and promote workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and hazard reportingSupport compliance with OSHA, fire code, and internal safety policiesParticipate in emergency preparedness activities, including equipment checks and safety drillsShipping & Receiving ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase ordersLog, label, and distribute incoming materials, mail, and packages to appropriate departmentsPrepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and scheduling carrier pickupsKeep loading dock and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsCoordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve delivery discrepancies or delaysExperience And EducationBachelor’s degree in business or Facilities Management, a plus but not required3+ years working knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, construction projects and real estate/lease administrationExperience in facilities maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field preferredQualificationsKnowledge of general maintenance procedures and basic proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systemsBasic mechanical aptitude and comfort using a wide range of hand and power toolsAbility to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and initiativeStrong understanding of workplace safety proceduresPhysical ability to stand, lift, bend, and climb for extended periods; ability to lift 50+ lbsStrong communication and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS) is a plusAtom Computing provides a wide variety of perks and benefits, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees and their dependents.
