Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.\nWhat to Expect as a Licensed Vet Tech with Calusa Veterinary CenterA comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance\nPaid time off and a 401(k) plan for full-time employees\nProfessional development opportunities\nKey Responsibilities:Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.\nSafely handle and restrain animals with compassion.\nCommunicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates\nPerform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.\nMaintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.\nHelp keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.\nFollow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.\nQualifications:Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.\nKnowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.\nFamiliarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.\nAbout Calusa Veterinary CenterWe’re focused on making sure our hospital has the right tools to allow our doctors and medical staff the ability to provide excellent service and care. In addition to diagnostic and preventative services, our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house labs, CO2 laser, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, cold laser therapy, underwater treadmill, and ultrasound. We also offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and pain management. We are a full-service, AAHA accredited 24 hour GP and ER small animal practice with 10 doctors and a large staff serving our clients in the Boca Raton, FL area for the past 20+ years. Our 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is unlike any other in the area.
