Learn more at www.esource.com.\nHow you’ll help:\nDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines, infrastructure, and systems to support data products and solutions using technologies such as AWS, Python, Databricks, Spark, and SQL databases like PostgreSQL\nWork with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into technical solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers\nDevelop and implement data engineering strategies and best practices that align with business objectives and customer needs\nMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability\nConduct research on industry trends and best practices to improve data engineering capabilities and evaluate new data technologies and tools\nBuild and maintain data lakes to support business intelligence needs\nManage the software development life cycle and DevOps aspects of the code\nCollaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with optimal data solutions\nCreate new data validation methods and data analysis tools\nWhat will make you a great fit:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field\nAt least five years of experience in data engineering or a similar role\nExpert-level skills in Python, SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, and big data technologies such as Databricks and Spark\nHands-on experience building cloud resident data pipelines in AWS\nStrong understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and retention policies and procedures\nStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills\nHigh proficiency using agile software tools like Jira and following mature DevOps practices using GIT, Docker, and CI servers like Jenkins\nPassion for data and innovation\nPreferred qualifications\nDemonstrated capacity to work autonomously and proactively, with a proven track record of achieving results without constant supervision\nExperience with ETL optimization, designing, coding, and tuning big data processes in Databricks\nSound knowledge of data lineage and data quality techniques\nExperience in working with data science and machine-learning models and frameworks\nPrevious experience in the energy or utility industry in an analytic role\nMaster’s degree in management information systems, computer programming, software engineering, data science, or an equivalent STEM field\nWhat you can expect:\nWe offer excellent insurance packages, including medical, dental, and vision plans; company-paid life insurance; company-paid long- and short-term disability insurance; and medical and dependent-care flexible spending plans\nWe provide a flexible time off (FTO) program; E Source employees can take as many paid days off per year as they need, with manager approval, while fulfilling their work obligations and ensuring proper coverage of their responsibilities.\nWe offer flexible schedules, flexible work locations, and a paid parental leave benefit.\nWe provide a 401(k)/RRSP plan with a 3% employer match.\nThe budgeted salary for this position is\n$105,000 - $120,000 USD + annual bonus.\nActual pay will be adjusted based on experience.\nThis role will be 100% remote with infrequent travel.\nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
