It is ranked by Money as one of the top 15 public colleges "most likely to pay off financially," and U.S. News & World Report rates it the No. 1 public institution among regional universities in the northeast.Position Overview:The Biology Department is seeking a candidate for a Lab Assistant position.Self-motivated Student Lab Assistant needed from May 16th through June 26th in the Biology department for 35 hours a week.Responsibilities:Assisting faculty and staff with moving, organizing, and cleaning research labs and equipment to prepare for fall semester.The student may also be asked to assist in the fly lab and the greenhouse, especially with cleaning duties, as neededOther duties as assignedLearning Objectives:Develop customer serviceCommunicate professionally and productivelyDemonstrate effective organizational and resource skillsRequired Qualifications:Self-motivatedReliablePreferred Qualifications:Preferably a Biology majorCandidate must be available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 - 5:00pmPersons with disabilities may request reasonable accommodations in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
