The Technical Architect will work closely with sub-Product Line managers as well as other VA architecture staff, business customers, and functional consultants to develop solution blueprints to optimize current and future IT investments and solutions.\r\nThe Health PMO support contract provides IT program management, project management, technical management, financial management, functional planning, and documentation analysis in support of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) Health Portfolio\r\nThe VA Health Portfolio is focused on development and execution of quality IT projects that address the needs of Veterans and health care providers through management of health care information and sustainment of production software to keep the mission going.\r\nYou will use your knowledge of existing applications / toolsets / processes at the Department of Veterans affairs along with your domain knowledge to define optimized solutions / processes that augment existing applications to solve business challenges. The environment is dynamic and client needs are evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.\r\nWhat You'll Do:\r\nQuickly develops a holistic view of the organization's current IT architecture, business operations, in-flight technology modernization initiatives and future plans.\r\nConducts workflow analysis, technology assessments, and business-related studies to define business case plans and architecture strategies supporting long term sustainability and growth.\r\nWorks with stakeholders and plays a lead role in defining solutions to address business requirements.\r\nCreates system design artifacts for both current and future state of the application.\r\nWorks with internal and external partners to define interfaces, data exchange mechanisms and data structures required by the solution.\r\nTranslates high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.\r\nDevelops systems and system element architecture and design and interface definitions. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
