You will contribute throughout the application development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through implementation, testing, and ongoing enhancement, while helping improve usability, accessibility, performance, and consistency across applications.\n\nJob Duties\n\nDesign and develop responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly web applications and interfaces.\n\nDevelop and maintain front-end application components using Angular and/or Node.js.\n\nTranslate business requirements, user needs, and workflows into functional UI/UX solutions.\n\nCreate wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design concepts.\n\nDevelop reusable UI components and help maintain consistency across applications.\n\nIntegrate front-end interfaces with APIs, backend services, and application functionality.\n\nCollaborate with software engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and end users throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nConduct usability reviews and incorporate user and stakeholder feedback into application enhancements.\n\nIdentify and resolve usability, accessibility, performance, and front-end application issues.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, testing activities, and Agile development ceremonies.\n\nSupport the modernization and continuous improvement of existing applications and user interfaces.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph\n\n4+ years of experience in UI/UX development, front-end development, web application development, or a related software development role.\n\nHands-on development experience with Angular and/or Node.js.\n\nExperience developing applications using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.\n\nStrong proficiency with HTML and CSS.\n\nExperience developing responsive web interfaces across multiple devices and screen sizes.\n\nStrong understanding of user-centered design, usability, and modern UI/UX principles.\n\nExperience translating requirements, wireframes, mockups, or design concepts into functional user interfaces.\n\nExperience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs or backend services.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining reusable UI components.\n\nExperience debugging front-end functionality, usability, and performance issues.\n\nProficiency with version control systems such as Git.\n\nAbility to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.\n\nNice to Have Qualifications\n\nExperience with both Angular and Node.js.\n\nExperience with UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and interactive design concepts.\n\nFamiliarity with Section 508, WCAG, and web accessibility standards.\n\nExperience developing or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.\n\nExperience with additional modern JavaScript frameworks or libraries such as React or Vue.js.\n\nExperience with automated unit, integration, or front-end testing frameworks.\n\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows.\n\nFamiliarity with Docker, AWS, or other cloud-based development environments.\n\nExperience working within Agile or Scrum development teams.\n\nA BS or higher in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Web Design, or a related field.\n\nPrevious experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other federal government customers.\n\nWorking at Edgesource\n\nAs an ISO 9001:2015 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised small business, Edgesource specializes in providing a variety of technical solutions to include software development, database services, enterprise networking, data center virtualization, and management support.
