Responsible for understanding and modeling key performance behaviors by providing effective direction and leadership to employees and offering outstanding service to all donors and customers. This position reports to the Store Manager.\n\nExemplary Duties / Responsibilities:\n\nAssists Manager in daily store operations, including sales leadership, merchandising, production, customer service, and training. Assumes management responsibilities as needed and/or in the Store Manager's absence.\nResponsible for ensuring the assigned store's daily sales and operational success in partnership with the Store Manager.\nMust ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service leadership and employee training.\nAccountable for meeting and/or exceeding sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.\nEnsures the deposit is ready in a timely manner for the armored car services to pick up in the Manager’s absence.\nSupervisory responsibilities include assisting in interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; providing input on performance appraisals; recognizing and developing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nFollows up on all assigned projects.\nGives corrective feedback under the direction of the Store Manager.\nOperates cash register and trains staff on applicable POS functions.\nAssists Store Manager on cross training all store personnel, including new employees in all areas of store operations.\nReports safety hazards and all accidents to Asset Protection IMMEDIATELY.\nNeeds to understand all facets of store organization and safety to eliminate safety hazards.\nAccurately completes daily sales paperwork and identifies discrepancies.\nProvides proactive customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.\nMust comply with all Sales Division procedures and agency policies and procedures.\nMust be courteous when answering phones, making announcements, and dealing with customers and staff.\nAttend and actively participate in and/or facilitate meetings as assigned.\nResponsible for other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nEducation/Experience:\n\nHigh School diploma or its equivalent.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends\n1 - 2 years’ experience in retail, thrift, or consignment.\n\nKnowledge & Skills:\n\nMathematical skills.\nProficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and basic computer functions\nAbility to read and write and understand basic math.
