Own end-to-end solutioning over the full life cycle.\n\nCollaboratively plan with other IT team members to proactively establish technical direction, roadmaps (priority and timing), Client’s, and to plan for and manage solution obsolescence.\n\nEnsure initiatives are well managed and delivered on expectations regarding quality, functionality, timeliness, and cost.\n\nExhibit technical currency in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining microservices-based system in a distributed Azure-based architecture.\n\nServe as the primary solutions’ leader for cloud native applications, determining use cases and technical solutions to address business functional needs.\n\nLead the evolution of delivery for Client’s Digital Experience technologies through modern CI/CD and DevSecOps principles.\n\nEstablish a center of excellence for low code / no code capabilities using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) to user apps.\n\nStays current on the latest software development methodologies, trends and techniques, and spearheads improvements that support efficient, quality application development.\n\nProactively identifies gaps and introduces process improvements that help the broader organization become more efficient.\n\nLead by example and foster a culture of personal and mutual accountability.\n\nFoster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and learning.\n\nDevelop and foster an inclusive culture for all team members.\n\nAdvise on resource planning, personnel decisions, and team structures to meet current and expected future needs. Provide inputs on Opex / Capex budgets.\n\nTeam Member Leadership\n\nBuild a strong culture of accountability and high performance.\n\nRecruit, develop, and retain top performers.\n\nCreate and implement an effective onboarding plan for every team member.\n\nRecruit, train and develop a team with skills and experience aligned to meet Client’s needs and the market with a focus on retention of top performers.\n\nSet clear expectations for all Team Members. Analyze goals, activities, and results to determine action plans to improve individual and team performance per stated performance management guidelines.\n\nEnsure that Client values are being demonstrated and policies are being followed.\n\nSupport Institutional Initiatives\n\nKeep current on institutional goals, objectives, and progress.\n\nEngage in institutional sponsored activities and initiatives as appropriate.\n\nLead with care in support of change initiatives that impact organization.\n\nManages and assists in coordinating efforts between departments within UMA.\n\nWork Experience, Skills & Abilities:\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nBachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, computer science or a similar discipline from an accredited institution.\n\n10+ years of relevant experience including enterprise-level information technology initiatives in cloud transformation effort.\n\nBroadly experienced with technical depth in technology architecture, patterns, and platforms, integrating SaaS solutions and the ability to map solution requirements to the right pattern or technology, establish best process / practice, and develop others’ technical capabilities.\n\nSignificant knowledge with product design, engineering, quality assurance and user experience.\n\nExperience developing green field projects based on C# and .NET framework, Azure technologies including AKS, Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes, SQL, Cosmos, Azure Data Factory.\n\nTechnical proficiency and hands-on experience with Restful API, backend systems, & platform development technology.\n\nSignificant experience and certifications with Microsoft Azure, architecture, engineering, information systems development, microservices, networking and data integration.\n\nExhibits an information-based decision-making mindset, strong analytical and technical capabilities in solving complex problems.\n\nAbility to develop and clearly articulate solution architecture and technology and lead teams via influence through ambiguity and complexity to a new way of working and to support program, process, and organizational improvements across the organization.\n\nNatural curiosity to learn, ask questions, identify mistaken assumptions, and bring an open-minded approach.
