These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nOperate all material handling equipment including but not limited to flatbeds, shrink wrap and banding devices, hand trucks and dollies.\nOpen containers attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.\nAssists in all freight and material handling as needed.\nCounts, weighs, and records numbers of units of materials used or handled daily.\nMaintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee that inventory control and security is retained.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nAssist in physical inventories as required.\nReport to supervisor any damaged racks, faulty equipment, or other safety hazard.\nMaintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.\nAssist with scheduled/unscheduled housekeeping of the loading docks and Warehouse storage areas.\nComplies and coordinates with all Dockmaster policies and procedures.\nComply with OSHA guidelines.\nPerform other responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nHigh School diploma or General Equivalency diploma (GED) required.\nAt least two years’ experience in a warehouse setting.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nGood reading and writing skills.\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply, and divide with 10's and 100's.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
