They will also help design and manufacture electrical products of all shapes and sizes. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.Key Responsibilities: • Lead full lifecycle product development, including design, development, prototypetesting, manufacturing, and implementation of hybrid electric power generation systems.• Create and review schematics, drawings, CAD models, and presentations.• Design and optimize engine-driven power generation integration, including coupling,control strategies, and load management.• Develop and refine power electronics architectures, including inverters, converters, andrectifiers, to support hybrid power generation performance and efficiency.• Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data, and interpret results to inform designdecisions.• Test and evaluate theoretical designs to ensure they meet project specifications andperformance goals, including fuel efficiency and emissions targets.• Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems in hybridelectric power generation development.• Evaluate final product performance, reliability, and safety, ensuring compliance withindustry standards.• Modify and improve designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions.• Estimate budget and project scope, ensuring projects are completed on time and withinbudget.• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative andinnovative work environment.• Prepare comprehensive product reports and documentation for internal and externalstakeholders.• Oversee the physical installation and testing of mechanical and electrical components.Requirements and Skills: • A minimum of 10 years of proven working experience in electrical engineering, with afocus on hybrid electric power generation or hybrid electric vehicles.• Knowledge of Codes and Standards for electronic panel design and installation (e.g.NFPA70/79, UL508, CE, CSA)• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. CANBUS, Modbus, Profinet, etc)• Hands-on experience designing or integrating power generation systems/alternators,power electronics (inverters, converters, rectifiers), and battery management systems(BMS).• Proficiency in 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., Altium,AutoCAD, ProE, or others).• In-depth understanding of core concepts, including mechanics, kinematics,thermodynamics, and materials science.• Strong creativity and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions tocomplex problems.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical knowledge clearlyand understandably.• Strong technical writing skills for the preparation of detailed reports and documentation.• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, with a preference for advanced degrees orcertifications.• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.• Solid technical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part ofa team.• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).• Honest, fun, hard-working, and ready to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.Work Environment: • Office and laboratory settings.• Will require travel to project sites or manufacturing facilities.• Use of standard office equipment and electrical testing tools.Equal Opportunity Employer: MATBOCK, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
