Travel Occupational Therapist - Rehab

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a JCAHO-accredited regional health center in rural northwestern Arizona, serving a predominantly Native American population with at least 2 years of experience and strong orthopedic skills. Job Details • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule with no weekend services currently available, • Serves a 4,400 square-mile area in northwestern Arizona, functioning as a referral center for the western Navajo and Hopi Reservations, • 73-bed hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures, • Patient population is predominantly Native American, ranging in age from birth through geriatric, • Caseload includes patients with developmental, cognitive, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities, with a majority of patients being orthopedic cases, • Specialty services include custom orthoses, sensory integration, cognitive treatment, and ADL training, • Specialty clinics include Spinal Cord, Functional, Geriatric, Assistive Technology/adaptive equipment, and DME/Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program, • Documentation performed in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Job Requirements • Active OT license required; license required if applicable, • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist, • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program, • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required, • Strong orthopedic skills required, • Must meet Medical Staff credentialing requirements, • SSN required for consideration, Additional Information • Provides both inpatient and outpatient OT services across the rehabilitation program, • Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and adjusting treatment plans, promoting independence, and documenting care in EHR, • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other rehabilitation staff, • Provides training, in-services, and education for students and staff, • Facility is located in a very rural area; on-site housing may be available, but is not guaranteed - a housing application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start, • Fingerprinting is required prior to start and is completed during the compliance process via mail, • Orientation runs on a every-2-week cycle, • COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination form, • First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded from consideration
