Training for the position will happen for approximately 1 month M-F 8-5.\r\nTop 3 skills: Ability to work independently\r\nBasic knowledge of mechanical systems or a desire to learn\r\nAbility to use hand tools (hobbies that include fixing or tinkering with things is always a plus)\r\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:\r\nEnsure operation of custom automated laboratory equipment by completing preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with IDT's quality policy.\r\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, and optical devices/systems, as well as PLC controlled systems.\r\nPractice safe working habits, follow all IDT safety policies, identify, correct, and report potential safety hazards.\r\nEssential requirements: High School diploma or GED\r\nProficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office\r\nKnowledge and use of a variety of hand tools\r\nPreferred qualifications: Reading and interpreting blueprints and equipment schematics\r\nPrevious laboratory and chemical handling experience\r\nThis job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
