Join our culture of caring and make a positive and lasting impact on health care for millions.\n\nThe Licensed Practical Nurse serves the patient, the physician and other staff members by assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPrepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs\nPrepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments and follow policies and procedures\nAssist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals\nMaintain the patient file, records and other information\nUse nursing theory to guide patient care\nPerform selected nursing and administrative duties\nPrepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments\nGive injections and apply splints and dressings\nMaintain patient confidentiality\nAttend staff meetings as required\nMaintain strictest confidentiality\nPerform other duties as assigned\nYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.\nRequired Qualifications:\nGraduate of accredited nursing school\nCurrent Oregon LPN license\nHealthcare provider level BLS/CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment\n1+ years of professional nursing experience\nPreferred Qualification:\nExperience with an electronic medical record system\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
